"Great location in downtown Blue Ridge. Just know that the hotel is right across the road from the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway so when the train leaves in the morning you will hear the horn and the engine. Fortunately, it only ran a few days of the week when were there in mid-July so we only heard it on one morning. We love the train so that was part of the allure for us. "We ended up upgrading to a cabin and had a wonderful time! The cabins were private, clean, perfect size and beautiful views. All the employees were very nice, the restaurant on the property had great food and a live musician (Mr. Miller was fantastic). We will definitely be back! We also went to the close vineyard and had a great time there as well. My husband really enjoyed the wine (I don’t drink wine). I enjoyed the cheese and crackers"

"Check in was easy, host was helpful and informative. Room condition was disappointing. Bed cover was frayed at edges, towels were thin and we were given only 2 towels for a 2 night stay, batteries in the TV remote were not working, heater knob for bath heat lamp was broken and heat light could not be turned on. also, they had a sound machine which is intended to play soothing music. again, no batteries and not in working condition.
