My room was upgraded from a partial ocean view to full! That was really nice and the view was amazing! It’s two blocks from moonlight beach, not one (I saw some people say one block) but two! You then have to walk still some more to the other side of the lifeguard building as they were doing construction when I was there, and the part of beach right near the motel was closed ! But the beach is wonderful and they provide beach chairs and there was an umbrella, but no beach towels so bring your own! There is a train near by and it sounds it horns several times when passing, so it can be loud due to that. I wore ear plugs and didn’t have any issues falling asleep but was awakened pretty early like 5amish the first day, due to the horns. Not sure how people live in that area with the constant trains passing, maybe use to it, because it’s a really nice neighborhood and populated well! There’s a good amount of steep hills if you’re walking around to be mindful of! Parking available for free! I liked my stay, Encinitas was nice , the motel and grounds were nice, but it is a 30 min drive from San Diego city, so not sure if I would stay again, oh and because of the trains!
