"The motel was clean, it was nice parking right in front of the room. It was spacious, although the shower was a little tight. The towels were very thin. The check in was smooth, but if you needed something it was harder to find someone to help you. It was a cute, retro motel, and the history of it was fun, especially since we were there to visit the redwoods. I gave it 4 stars because the beds weren't very comfortable. Other than that, it's great for a one night stay"

"The fact that this is one of the few properties located on the beach is the reason we chose it. It wound up that we didn’t spend much time at the beach, and the property is pretty worn, so I’m not sure it was worth it. The staff were super accommodating. They have a coffee room where they provide fruit and oatmeal, and there were some snacks available in the office, but I wish they had more of a breakfast."

"The front desk was available both in person and virtually. Very convenient. Everyone was super polite and helpful. The room was clean and had a great view of the ocean. The free wifi was a plus in this day and age."

"this place is not a typical stay. its a room in a house where the owners live. the room is huge and rustic. it does have a musty odor but that could be from being close to the coast. no tv but for us thats ok. shoud be listed as an airbnb. good value for the price. off the beaten path definitly not for the non adventerous. host very accomidating. i would stay again because the price was right. romantic charm. give it a try!"

"Overall the stay was fine. We got there late so don’t have a lot to base it on. Staff seemed young but was okay. The building seemed a little run down but it was clean. The view from our room was amazing."

"Peeling paints all over the wall, rusted soap dish in shower, three hair stuck to the wall, no hair dryer in the room, no large bath towels (just thin coarse medium and small hand towels), and moldy strips in bath area. We will not stay there again."

"Get rid of the check-in kiosk!! The lady who did come to the desk was great. The kiosk where the guy barely speaks English is terrible"

The only close place for it to use was disgusting from no maintenance & no other dog was on sight so no one maintains this. I fell on uneven concrete surface on the property going the other way.
