"My birthday at Hotel La Compañía was nothing short of extraordinary, and truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely spoiled by the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Every detail was so thoughtfully curated, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making my stay special. The room itself was absolutely beautiful, an elegant blend of history and luxury, with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. It was the kind of space you look forward to returning to, even after a full day of exploring. One of the highlights was the incredible massage at their in-house spa, which was pure bliss and the perfect way to ease into a day of celebration. The entire experience felt indulgent, calming, and deeply restorative. What truly set this stay apart, though, were all the thoughtful touches. I arrived to find a delicious birthday cake waiting in my room, and later, while celebrating with friends at Capella Rooftop Bar, another cake appeared—completely unexpected and such a joyful moment. As if that wasn’t enough, we were treated to complimentary champagne by the pool, adding an extra sparkle to an already perfect day. Every interaction with the team felt genuine and effortless, and they managed to strike that rare balance between professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. I left feeling incredibly grateful, celebrated, and already dreaming of my return. Hotel La Compañía is a true gem in Casco Viejo."

"The place was beautiful and in a great location in the old town close to bars and restaurants. However it was very noisy until about 3am every night for my stay due to proximity to the bars. I guess you can have everything but it would have been nice to have been told about the noise. We moved out after 7 of of our 9 nighs there."

"Huge 2 bedroom suite with kitchen. Provided coffee for coffee maker and pods for nespresso maker. Also provided bottled water and milk. Although we did not cook kitchen appeared to have everything one would need. Very clean. Only suggestion is if you are staying over a weekend you may want to bring earplugs. The Saturday night parties were happening all around. Sunday it was quiet."

"The bed was comfortable and the Air conditioning was cold. Architecture was strange..,lots of concrete which did nothing to soften the noise coming from the Nightclub overhead, until about 3 am. I had booked an inside room which I had heard could be quieter but was “upgraded” to a balcony room. The balcony is a shared balcony between all rooms on the second floor on that side. It overlooks the sketchy looking street beside the hotel and allows for you to “enjoy” the music as if you were sitting there. Ear plugs did not help. "

"Good location but property is fairly run down in poor condition. Biggest problem is the staff who can not communicate at all in anything other then Spanish which is a big negative if it is trying to grow tourist business. Elevator is over used and very busy with non residents using it to go to rooftop bar that it becomes a big inconvenience for residents trying to go tonthir rooms having to wait for throne for a long time especially at night or late evenings. If one would have an alternate choice of hotels to look into that it worthwhile to check what is out there before booking this hotel since there are so many small boutique hotels in Casco Viejo to look at for foreign tourists."
