"An interesting old hotel with plenty of charm, spacious rooms, and friendly, helpful staff. However, the property is in need of a major overhaul. The hotel is quite dated, the doors and windows could use a fresh coat of paint, and the internet connection is barely working. Overall, this must have been a very nice hotel when it was first built, but some significant updates would greatly improve the guest experience."

"Great hotel to spend a few nights but not really suitable to stay for a week as rooms are quite small and lack a fridge. Bed and pillows are very comfortable and noise from other rooms minimal. "The review is specifically about the room I got which appears not to be common in the property. It is very large but it has a major problem which is that it does not have a window. The only light comes from the door and hence it is quite dark and the air feels musky. A few other irritants are the lack of electrical plugs in the room, and curiously the lack of seat for the toilet."
