"Easy parking. Check-in was a breeze. Helpful and friendly staff. Dinner in the restaurant was sublime (and I have a very fussy partner so trust me on this). The room exceeded expectations and thoughtful little niceties like sweets and luxurious ample bathroom additions and slippers/bathrobes. We were a little late down for the 10am finish for the Continental breakfast, but not made to feel rushed at all. In fact the lovely Manager Jacey was warm and chatty. Highly recommend for value,...

"Located in the centre of Chelmsford near the station. Comfortable bed."

"Just a one nights stay at the Kicking Dicky before a flight out of Stansted, which was chosen for it's ideal location and at a better value than the generic hotels. No issues with the room which is external to the pub, so was nice and quiet. The food was decent with a good selection a beers. Overall a nice find and would be happy to stay again."

"Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. "The room was a decent size and good pressure in the shower that is always good. At in the restaurant in the evening that was convenient. Sadly missed my breakfast as it isn’t Served until 9am and was too late for myself as I had to get to work. Parking is limited, but can park on the main road but it is very busy at times."
