"Breakfast service didn’t start till 9am which was a bit late for our plans. Room was basic but clean"

"Located in the centre of Chelmsford near the station. Comfortable bed."

"Great location, pub with the bar, food, local to the airport for your airport needs."

"Friendly staff and great breakfast. Good value"

"There is no restraunt at this pub even though there is a nice picture of the dining area. Had the attic room and kept awake all night by birds in the loft."

"Very dated rooms & uncomfortable beds no air conditioning or fan. Breakfast only available 8.30 -9 am even though the information card in the room states 8.30-9.30, was told this is only at weekends? So why doesn’t information card state this? "An older property that will be considered characterful or dated depending on your viewpoint. I enjoyed it including the narrow stairs and corridors, and the historic nature of the room, which was not lacking for the usual amenities. I had an excellent dinner and the Full English Breakfast was all you could wish for. The staff were attentive and friendly. Furthermore, she proceeded to serve a tall, good looking man who approached the bar way after we had been standing a waiting."

"Decent enough room, nice bar good breakfast"
