"It is just magical to stay at this enchanting hotel that takes you back to a glorious bygone era. The antiques throughout, including sitting areas and two person hammered copper tubs make one feel very pampered at a price similar to the chain hotels. The property had a pub on the ground floor with live bands nightly. Next door, in the same parking lot, is a casual German restaurant with an outdoor beer garden. Next to that is a pub that has outdoor sand volleyball, occasional karaoke and the best fish fry, offered every night, than I’ve had in decades. The location is just a short walk to a beach on the lake and the neighborhood appeared to be very safe. I found the least expensive rate on Expedia. I have already booked my return visit."
