Town Houses in Extremadura

This has been the best apartment we have ever stayed in. Understated luxury and comfort. Little touches like a carton of milk and mineral water and delightful toiletries. Fabulous hosts and excellent location. Our train for Seville didn’t leave until 3.30 pm but they were happy to store our bags and even our lunch in a fridge for us. This is the kind of service you really appreciate when travelling.

We arrived in the dark after a long journey and Laura looked horrified at the 2 dogs as we had reserved a suite which was not dog friendly. She swiftly sorted it out and changed our room. I then enquired about our dinner reservation and she told me that the restaurant was closed as our reservation had not gone through . No bother to Laura, she just said we would have to have something very simple that she would produce. Unbelievably good Iberian Ham, local cheese, quince jam, washed down with...

The staff I met were all very friendly. It was truly pet friendly and the breakfast was excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again on route to Portugal.

Great choice at breakfast both fresh and freshly cooked. Almost everything homemade. The building has been converted to a really elegant hotel. The garden is a real bonus.

Great location, lovely restoration of a beautiful building, loved everything about it!

The hotel itself is fantastic with its patio garden, wonderful sun terrace and lovely rooms but the owners were away for our stay so we had no bar or restaurant, and the swimming pool was covered over. We were let in and told we had to find our own food in the village which is harder than it sounds on a Sunday in Spain. We did find a little shop where we could buy some snacks and cans of drink for the afternoon and we were able to get an evening meal at the only bar which was open and serving...

Our stay here was a real treat - the room was lovely, the estate and surrounding areas were stunning, and the staff counotnhave been more friendly or welckming.

Great location, friendly and attentive staff. Vending machines (snacks/drinks) at property that saved us as we arrived quite late. Good value for money.

Clean and very nice, great communication from host

Lovely room with a huge bed, excellent bathroom and great air conditioning. The bar staff, reception staff and general staff were all kind and helpful. We ate from the restaurant menu in the bar and the food was fantastic.

We will repeat if back to Merida, great hotel, in all asp.

The most amazing parador a 16 th century convent converted beautifully. Breakfast was tasteful and evening meal sublime . A lovely outdoor pool with sunbeds and deckchairs to relax Hotel parking accessed by car lift but secure, charge 18 euros day . Beautiful courtyard to admire the building and sip a drink . Right in the old town walkable to the river and plaza . Not much was open in the town in the evening so book the restaurant in the hotel .
