Lovely staff and nice spot on the water.

Faggetto Lario is a charming area. The hotel staff was very kind and friendly. The downside to the hotel was no air conditioning. The weather was quite hot (90+ degrees) and we had to keep windows open at all times. Due to the location of our room (street side) it was very loud (motorbikes, people talking, etc.). Otherwise a great value, nice restaurant, great staff.

Fantastic view in a quiet place

We had a short stay on our way to Bonassola. Fantastic dinner at the restaurant, nice room with a good view to the lake and nice and clean room. We found an old path up the mountain where we could walk our dog - apart from that there were not many places to walk due to the steep mountain side and the narrow streets.

A Night to remember.....!

I booked a one night stay for May 27, we were traveling by car through Stelvio Pass towards Lake Como, due to some accidents and delay due to road construction when traveling through the mountains we were unable to be there by 7:30PM which is when check-in ends. During travel I attempted multiple times to get in touch with the hotel to inform them of the situation, all attempts from my cell phone failed due to lack of service. But we stopped twice, at 7:00PM and called the hotel from a land line at a restaurant, the phone just kept ringing with no one answering, neither was there an answering machine picking up to leave a message. We called again at 9:00PM from a restaurant with the same result, we arrived at the hotel at 2:00 in the morning finding it all closed up, when we called a number provided at the entrance someone picked up responded briefly and then hung up on us. We spend the rest of the night in the car. When communicating with the hotel afterwards through Expedia messaging no solution could be reached, the hotel stood by their policy, even after discussing that our late arrival was due to circumstances completely out of our control. The hotel offered we could stay a different night which was not possible for us, to find a fair solution for both parties I even offered the hotel to apply a 30% fee and refund the remainder of the reservation, my offer was ignored and the hotel chose not to respond.

Hôtel accueillant dans un cadre agréable

L'hôtel est au fond d'une crique pas très facile d'accès, et tout au bord du lac, dans un cadre très agréable et reposant. Les patrons parlent français, ce qui est facilitant et d'une grande disponibilité. Parking réservé. Pour un 2 étoiles, l'hôtel est d'excellente qualité : literie parfaite (chambre 7) et propreté. L'endroit est très calme la nuit car les "plagistes" quittent la plage (privée) vers 19 H 30 / 20 H Le restaurant (unique sur le site) est géré indépendamment de l'hôtel (paiement à effectuer après chaque repas) et de bonne qualité. Embarcadère pour prendre le bateau soit pour faire un A/R jusqu'au nord du lac (Colico), soit pour faire du "cabotage" d'un village à l'autre sur la cote (déjeuner à bord tous les jours avec menu à 14 euros eau comprise) Pour les GPS le lieu dit s'appelle "RIVA"

Ausstattung aus den 70er Jahren, das ganze Haus ist leicht muffig. Nachts konnten wir ca. 1 Stunde nicht schlafen, weil Möbel über Fliesen hin und her gerückt wurden.

Bad quality appartment - With stunning view.

A very Nice arena, and the host did allot to serve. But hotel Roms Are NOT ud to the standard to expect. Very poor beds(matress) tiny kitchen, With poor equipment. Hot Rooms, no ACC. Need to have Windows open allnight, and a very noicy road, made it difficult to sleep at all. Our 2 Rooms appartment was very little, only 4 old/hard chairs in entre appartment. No private outdoor area. The view and spared outdoor area was stunning - pool area needs an update though.
