"The Facility was fine. I did notice dampness on the carpet and when I took the clothes out of the closet the carpet was even more moist. I reported this and maintainence was addressing it. I needed new batteries for the remote. I was given one of the remotes the use in the lobby. It could use new batteries too. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was spacious with a nice counter area and refrig below. I would stay there again."

"The hotel was overall decently clean, but you could tell it's been used. The breakfast was a big disappointment where the only hot items aside from waffles were wet eggs and overcooked pigs in a blanket. The AC unit in the room never turned off and was a bit loud. "

"I love old things, so The Menger Hotel has been on my list forever. And yes—it’s beautiful. But she comes with quirks. Valet was friendly, but no one mentioned you have to respond to a random, non-local text and enter payment info to get your car back. So when we’re trying to leave for dinner? Delay. Because my fiancé doesn’t click mystery links (as one shouldn’t). You can charge it to your room—would’ve been great to know upfront. Walking in? Stunning. Antique everything, historic photos, total time capsule vibes. Then you hit the front desk… and the energy drops. Check-in was awkward, they couldn’t find our reservation (it was there), and the vibe was very “this is your fault somehow.” Not rude, just not welcoming. Room 3067: clean, decent size, nothing special. Bed was comfortable. Partial courtyard view, partial rooftop. Fine. Now the “old hotel” realities: Room was muggy, even with AC low Bathroom is tight (my 6’1” fiancé struggled) Shower is basic and takes forever Flush a nearby toilet? Enjoy your surprise ice bath A few extras: Dirty plate in the hallway for over a day One lamp didn’t work Pool location remains a mystery The bar is cool, service is… consistent with the rest of the hotel (present, not warm). Location is right in the tourist area—convenient but busier than we prefer. Final take: The Menger Hotel is gorgeous and worth experiencing if you love historic hotels. Just don’t expect modern comfort or standout service."
