The lady at the reception was super helpful and kind, she explained everything, helped with parking (they offer parking lots in 3 mins walk from the entrance). "Absolutely lovely stay! The room and the staff were fantastic. They went out of their way to make you feel as special as the beautiful suite. The only things I wasn't thrilled about was that you need to enter and exit through the Michelin star restaurant. Slightly uncomfortable if you want to go outside for a smoke in the evening, but the staff didn't make us feel uncomfortable about it. Also, maybe some rugs would help. The 3rd floor room every evening sounded like people were dragging...

"Very nice hotel in excellent area, breakfast was exceptional…not great if you are a light sleeper as there is a main road, tram lines & train tracks right outside so a bit noisy…. we had an evening flight but when we asked if there was a room for changing were only offered the toilets in the reception area which was disappointing .."

"Hotel Wawel is conveniently located in the old town and couple of minutes walk to the main square. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning was welcome in July and the rooms were very quiet. We used the free coffee machine and water dispenser on the first floor which was a nice touch and there was a wide choice of food to choose from at breakfast. "Weird place. On the water, I knew. It’s a bunch of houseboats, I learned. Nice rooms, 5 per houseboat, with an unfortunate twist: bed upstairs, everything else downstairs. Inconvenient if you have to get up in the middle of the night. A steep and narrow staircase connects. It’s hard to reach (cars can’t go there), over poorly maintained footpaths. Directly behind is a loud carnival. Breakfast is a coupon for a restaurant next to the carnival. Food is fine though."
