"The guesthouse is nice enough but the staff were standoffish to begin with. There was an unexpected extra charge for my dog to stay. They had their large dogs roaming freely, which was intimidating to nervous dogs on leads. The shower in our room was old and complicated to use. I forgot an expensive orthopaedic pillow at the guesthouse and requested it to be sent to me. The owner assured me he had it, charged me €35 and sent an old battered cushion with no cover at a cost of €9. Overall the stay...

"The only thing we can complain about is that we couldn’t stay forever with Cathy! The place is much better than expected (really, much better). Super well equipped, comfortable, clean, and with marvelous decoration. The area where the house is located is absolutely stunning. And of course, we must mention Cathy again, she is incredibly nice, kind, intelligent, talkative, and made our one-night stay feel like being with family. "Actually pleasantly surprised! our room was at the rear in what looked like a collection of tin roofed huts :) but it proved to be very nice - certainly enough for our 1 night pre- ferry. Warm, functional, nice and clean, shower was good Pub doesn't do food so we walked into the town and had a delicious Thai meal at the Red Elephant- def recommended!!! Then came back to our last Irish Guinesses at the pub - again really good. The pub is quirky with a remarkable collection of old memorabilia....

"Nice friendly hotel with good food. Large comfortablr rooms with good bedding. As an early riser,i was a bit disappointed that gym did not open til 9 on weekends by which time i had left for the day. So unforftunately never got to use the leiaure facilities."
