"The breakfast was excellent. Everything was kept clean and fresh. The staff was very friendly. As usual in hotels the AC switched on and off making it noisy. The bedclothes did not allow for maintaining a comfortable sleeping temperature. There was a nightstand on only one side of the bed, which was inconvenient. Otherwise, the room was quiet."

"The room was clean but I had no lights aside from a few desk lamps, one of which was making electrical noises and flickering.
The shower was clean but the shelf inside was not level and my soap kept sliding off. In addition the shower pressure was terrible.

"Staff did not clean room or provide towels the second day of a 3 day stay. Lower area not to my standards for a Best Western but I don't know anything about tower rooms. Parking is minimal and difficult to acquire if late returning. Breakfast was definitely of low standards with minimal selections. No breakfast available last morning at 0800 on April 20,2026, no coffee, nothing."

"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta.
