"We were very grateful to the staff for allowing us to check in very late (after midnight) and accommodating us on our road trip. The room was lovely and cosy (even though it was a cold day). The bed was SUPER comfy. The breakfast is nice but would recommend hot dishes are added (it’s continental). It just felt quite basic and didn’t feel like it matched up to the accomodation offering. "The Abbey is the only available motel/cottage accommodation on Raymond Island. It is inn a unique location amongst pleasant bush environment and close to the Koala habitat. There is no food or eating places on the island but the ferry service to and from Paynesville which excellent restaurants and cafes and IGa. "The owners were welcoming and very helpful. The grounds were neat and leafy with nice shrubs. While its an older motel, it was spotlessly clean and comfortable for my one night as stay. For the reasonable price and convenient, quiet location, I will surely stay again. "
