"Situated in the beautiful village of Castlemola, this comfortable hotel offers unrivalled views of Mount Etna. Well worth getting a room with a balcony and mountain view. Breakfast was good and varied and the staff extremely accommodating. A few of our evening meals were taken at the nearby Caverna restaurant which is also owned by the hotel (with discount available for guests). A great walk down to Taormina was well worth the effort but keep an eye on the bus times as Taxis can be expensive. All in all, an absolutely delightful stay. "

"We went on a tour of Sicily in May 2025, and only spent one night at Dimora Cottanera - but it was our favourite stay of the vacation! The grounds and the views were stunning, the facilities first-class and our room was amazing. But the absolute highlight was the wine tasting, which was so much fun and incredible value. The food we had was delicious and complemented the wine superbly. And our host, Salvo, made the experience so special. We absolutely loved our limited time at Dimora Cottanera and would book again in a heartbeat!"

Shalai - Exclusive SPA and small gourmet hotel

"This hotel was a "wow" all around. The photos don't do it justice: 1) The area: the town it was in is super cute. Everyone knows one another in the area. Views of Etna were incredible. Just a very beautiful region of sicily. 2) The service: the front desk helped us book a helicopter tour of etna. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, it was fantastic! 3) Spa: Wow wow wow - beautiful turkish bath, and you get it all to yourself with the fee. My husband and I enjoyed this immensely! 4) Restaurant: Probably the best meal we had in sicily. Incredibly creative, beautifully plated dishes. Props to the chef! 5) The rooms - baroque revival, with hand painted ceilings, just amazing. Comfy beds and nice rainfall showers in bathroom. "

"The winery is beautiful and the customer service from Marisa was outstanding. The breakfast was very good. We all (5) loved this property and the customer service. We stayed here for 2 nights. Got the delicious complimentary bottle of wine "Etna Rosso wine". Loved it. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you so much for your service, Marisa"

"This is a beautiful property. The staff members went above and beyond. The restaurant is great and highly recommended. They even arranged a private pistachio tasting for us. For the price, it is a great value. Architecturally, the property is stunning inside. "
