Upon arrival, checked in, the rooms are a nice size, with a fridge, kitchenette etc. Bathroom was smelly, there was a cover provided for the drain to stop the smell…
The problems started on the second day, none of our key cards for the room were working, called the out of hours number as reception is only open 0900-1800. Retrieved a spare card from the lock box, this also did not work.
Phoned the out of hours number again, struggled to get the point across that none of the cards were working. An employee then attended the hotel, and could only open the room with the master key. The only option was to then change rooms, not very helpful when you are checking out in the morning, expressed how inconvenient it was, the member of staff was less than sympathetic stating he did not work there. This whole process took over two hours, we had come back to the hotel to change for dinner, and was very late by this point.
At check out the following day, we asked for some kind of compensation due to the inconvenience, we were told the manager was not in and they would contact us. We followed up with a message, two weeks later we have had no response. Poor service, dilapidated operation and unsympathetic staff, would not recommend.
