Staff was super friendly and made my family feel so welcome. Standouts were our waiter Dale at the Beach House and Jocaleb, a worker at the pool. We had an awesome stay and will return.

This place was absolutely incredible. Our room was right on the water and immaculate. The resort is huge and has its own trolley. They also have a waterpark and another pool with waterslides. Amazing stay!

This place was ok. The unit we rented had a few small repair issues, and the screens did not prevent no-see-ums. Upon check-in, it would have been SO helpful to receive a warning and any general tips about how to prevent and care for the bites, which were inevitable this year. Positives: We liked the proximity to the beach and the sunset games near The Beach House restaurant/bar. The restaurant was decent but nothing special. The Bayview pool area was fantastic, and we loved the poolside service for food and drink.

Good time, very nice mini vacation, property had a few water issues but staff responded prompt, be aware everything closes early. We ate at Harborside and food was very good, staff was very nice.

We weren’t notified in time to change our plans that the Captiva landing with the waterpark and other amenities would be closed for refurbishing during our stay. Otherwise, the island is quaint, quiet, and we saw plenty of wildlife. The staff was wonderful. The beach was clean with soft sand and beautiful sunsets! Just wish we could have experienced the waterpark as it was the reason we chose this resort. Resort restaurants are not good, food options and quality were lacking. We preferred heading outside resort to local restaurants. Shopping was not great. Only expensive boutique options unless you head out out of the resort area to the local beach shop.

This is a nice resort, still recovering from the hurricane a few years ago. The beach and amenities were great. The room was outdated. Old furniture and no where to plug in any USBs - no clock or lamps with USBs. I found it a challenge to keep my electronics plugged in within reach and charged as I liked. The noise with yard work and repairs was a little more than expected. It was easy to reach staff using text messaging and cleaning was every other day, though one day we didn't get refreshed and had to contact them for more coffee. The food was great, but high priced considering how much you pay to be on the resort. Overall, it was enjoyable but the room was not up to par with a high end resort. We stayed in the Beach Villas.

We had a wonderful stay at South Seas Resort! Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive, and the entire resort was extremely clean, well maintained and organize. The location is beautiful, and the water park for the kids was absolutely excellent, they all had a great time! Everything was very family-friendly and made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Southseas Resort to families and anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and fun place to stay .

The beach and pool was good… the room was ok. There was no one cleaning everyday and the floors got dirty and no broom was provided.. the room was also infested with ants and spiders and my kids didn’t enjoy that.

The view from the Beach Villas was stellar. From fishing, to swimming, water park and kids activities, we never ran out of things to do and wished we’d booked the extra night.

Beautiful property with excellent amenities—we really enjoyed our stay. One suggestion would be to provide daily housekeeping instead of every other day. Also, while construction is ongoing, it would be appreciated if guests could be assigned rooms farther away from the construction area whenever possible. Unfortunately, our room was very close to it, which made the stay less enjoyable. Overall, it’s a beautiful place, and we would definitely consider staying again.

We stayed in the marina villa in a renovated room which was very nice. Everything worked well including the AC! There are great additions to South Seas like the new waterpark and the BEACH House restaurant. There is still active construction where the hotel was before the hurricane. All of the staff was great EXCEPT ONE VERY NASTY TROLLEY DRIVER who was upset because we were parking our bicycles in the shade because of the 100 degrees hitting our seats. The bikes were not in anybody's way, but I guess he thought he was the bicycle police. Anyway, we will return. Great job South Seas on the renovation!

The beach villas are dated. The water park was a great addition and the 4th of July activities were fun for the kiddos. Food at beach house restaurant is overpriced and not good. Did not love that the staff asked us to remove sheets/duvet covers from beds, wash dishes, throw out trash, and put all towels in one pile. When paying $7k for two beach villas for a 3-night vacation, I should not have to be doing any cleaning for the resort.
