"The host was very pleasant and quite thorough in explaining on the nuances of the property. Other guests were quiet although I was only there the one night while visiting family. The room and other amenities were clean. There are pretty gardens throughout the property as well. Note that there is only the bottom sheet and comforter on the bed and no top sheet, in addition although there are california shutters on the lower part of the window, but the 5 am sun lights the room up in the morning...

"The room was spotlessly clean, unable to spot a tiny fingerprint. It seemed appliances were brand new. This hotel is located in the nice cozy neighborhood, not commercial district. We were able to walk waterfront behind the building. Nice pathways for a walk. Definitely I would stay here again if I have chance to visit VC again. Better than other renowned 5 star hotels."

"I was in town for an Alaskan cruise with my uncle. I had booked (and paid extra for) the bigger room with the sofa bed. I received instructions for after hours check-in, which had me assigned to room #1. When I showed up at 11:45pm and attempted to enter my room, it was locked.
