Situated in a central location near attractions like the national museum, republic plaza, fish market, and the president's palace, it's perfect for a quick walking tour, which can be completed in under 30 minutes. The fish market, in particular, offers an intriguing stingray watchout, providing a unique experience not commonly found elsewhere in the Maldives. Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance of Rasfannu beach, although it's worth noting that the beach is relatively small. There are also several good eateries nearby, such as Seagull, Lemongrass, and D'Olive, as well as the convenience of Seagull supermarket. The family room at Somerset Hotel is spacious, with the staff accommodatingly arranging the sofa bed for the kids. Late checkout was offered, which was greatly appreciated due to our late flight. While the breakfast provided is basic, it is sufficient. Overall, we were pleased with our stay at Somerset Hotel and would consider returning in the future."

"We absolutely loved the island, one of the best we have visited so far. The only thing we did not like is the fact that our room request we made before arrival was not acknowledged at all. We were allocated one of the rooms that was not yet renovated, even though we arrived when the occupancy was very low and we could have been put in a newly renovated room. "Lovely hotel with fantastic service. We were picked up from the airport and immediately the service was brilliant. The staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating and really did offer a 5* service. The room was nice, albeit a little compact. The view was great. The shower was one of the nicest showers I’ve ever seen! The design and aesthetic of the property is great. The bed is very comfortable and we had a fantastic sleep. The hotel is close to the mosque, and the call to prayer is early, but this is part of the experience and ear plugs are provided if required. We left before breakfast, so they boxed one up for us, which was very kind. Fantastic stay, amazing service, highly recommend to anyone staying in Malé"
