"We stayed one night and the room was a good price with a decent bathroom but the bed was uncomfortable for two people - we kept rolling together in the middle. We didn't have breakfast or use the bar so I can't comment on other aspects of the hotel. "

"This is a conveniently positioned accommodation with a helpful owner living on site. It is reasonably priced and near a bus interchange as well as the tram line. That said, the single beds are tiny. I am 5'6 and feet were over the endand it was so narrow I could barely turn over. They need replacing. The en suite was OK, cramped and a small shower, but ok for one night. The exit rules were unusual! You have a key code, exit via the fire escape and through a beer garden which as the pub doesn't open till 2pm was empty."

"The only problem was the car park is too small, wasn't aware when I booked that we would have to pay nearly £9:00 per night. The hotel itself was very good, clean, well kept with helpful staff. The breakfeast was simply and plentyful."

"Third year of staying at the Garrison for the snooker - the fact we keep coming back says something! Easy to get into town on the tram, free parking, spacious rooms with comfy beds you can actually get to sleep in, A BATH (great for all the walking we do when we're here), close to amenities so you can grab food easily. Friendly folk. The only one downside is that the the wifi continues not to work with our laptop - for some reason it registers as dangerous so won't connect. But in some ways thats good, as no sneaky working when we're supposed to be on holiday. Worth considering if working is an essential part of the stay tho. Thank you - no doubt we'll be back next year!"
