"This is a lovely small boutique hotel in a great location. We were surprised at the size of the suite - way more room than anticipated:. We even had 2 little patios. The owner and staff were very helpful and kind. This is truly a gem and we will not hesitate to stay there again."

"North Vancouver Hotel is worth every cent for the budget price you pay for. Front desk check-in was a breeze. The room came with the essentials – 2 Queen beds, bathroom had the amenities one expects (Dove shampoo, bar soap, and skin lotion). There was a laundry room with 2 large washing machines and 2 dryers. Complementary breakfast included a wide range of food – pastries, breads, jams & butter, 2 cereals, instant oats, yogurt, pancakes, fruits (bananas, apples, mandarin oranges, etc) with ham. Maybe they could offer had boiled egg? Maid service was efficient. Perhaps my only gripe is the sound-proofing could be better – we could hear children crying from across the thin walls."

"Room was clean. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Dinesh at front desk is excellent and great! The entire suite and kitchen was very relaxing. Parking was safe and convenient. Easy to walk into downtown and catch a bus if needed. Great place all around."

"Parking was free. We only spent our time to sleep at night and did not use anything, so it was not bad for us. But don't have high expectations, everything is very old. It is just an affordable hotel in downtown."

"I cannot speak about all the rooms here, but the one we stayed in was not sanitary. Both beds had questionable large areas of brown stains on the box springs and the odor when you open the door hits you so hard. Originally it smelt like the room had been soaked in urine mixed with pinesol. We thought maybe it was a reaction to something with the cleaner, so we opened the window, turned on the fans and left for 3 hrs. When we came back the odor was still there. We complained to the front desk but the hotel was full so they could not move us rooms until the next day. The front lobby and hallway did not have this smell, just when you opened our door. We tried leaving the door open and window open with three fans running to get rid of the odor but it did not go away. I had to be up at4am the next morning for a race so we decided to just try and sleep. I was very uncomfortable here and barely sleep. After my race they said a room would be ready at 3pm for us to move but was told it "may still smell as this is an old hotel" and they could give us an air freshener. We decided to check out early and find another hotel. I choose this hotel for the location not the ratings, but we barely spent more than 7 hours in our room because of the odor and dirtiness of the room. We didnt even want to sit in the chairs in the room. The staff did try to help the best they could but I do not believe anyone should be breathing that mysterious odor in......even if its a 2 star hotel."
