In the evening when this photo was taken, the canyon takes on a soft, almost painterly light. If you can, make a visit right after sunrise and return for the sunset.

  • We visited this location but ideally needed to be there in the afternoon as the sun was on the "wrong" side of the arch. I used a wide lens to capture the arch and didn't attempt to correct the distortion as I felt it added to the picture (for me anyway). It took a long time to get this without hoardes of people in the shot.

Great place to stay!

It was wonderful! Great value, great space, everything you need when you have a family and don’t want to all squeeze into one little room. Loved it and will definitely stay again!

It was nice that we could stay as a family in an apartment rather than hotel rooms, like being at home. It was not perfect, but we were very satisfied and have referred friends to stay there this week.

We enjoyed having an apartment for three nights. King bed was comfortable, they provided a fan to move cool air to bedroom. We liked having a coffee maker and refrigerator. Would stay here again.

This place is a DUMP!!! Its dirty, Wi-Fi would not work, the top bunk was ready to collapse-no one could sleep on it! I reported it to the girl at Victoria Inn where you have to check in and she offered us another place but it was on the 3rd floor and my husband is handicapped so there was no way he could do the stairs. We took our stuff in and we did not check it out the place until we got back from Yellowstone which was late! The kitchen floor was so dirty & sticky, there was dirty water in the sink with old spaghetti in the drain, bugs were in a coffee cup, the pull out sofa had no sheets plus it had a wire sticking out the bottom and they left 2 pods for the coffee pot so I did ask someone for more & we did get them! We paid $375.20 for one night for a dirty DUMP! The owner was contacted and said we should have complained when we checked in-we did about the bed & Wi-Fi but we left to do things not thinking that the DUMP should be checked out! I am a travel agent and I would NEVER send anyone there. For the amount we paid we thought it would be nice and above all clean but neither of that was true! I also have rentals & if my staff EVER left my rentals like that they would be fired but we are proud of our places and want our renters to come back but obviously these owners do not care if any of their renters ever come back! It was disgusting to say the least. The staff at the Victoria Inn was nice & Travelocity customer care was excellent like they actually cared!

Great location for Yellowstone. Plenty of places to eat in Gardiner. Couldn’t find sheets for pull out bed in living room. Somewhat noisy at night

Traveling as a large family is always hard. Usually, some of my kids need to sleep on the floor or we have to pack a whole "kitchen" so we don't spend so much on food. I had to do neither with this trip. The kitchen was so nice...especially the crockpot! I could put soup on warm in the am....travel through yellowstone, and come home to a warm meal. Everyone also got their own comfortable beds. It is not handicap friendly as there were stairs to get to the apartment and two sets of stairs inside the apartment. There was a deck off the master with a bbq. Sadly, we didn't get to enjoy it because the weather was crummy. The location was great as well. We could see the entrance sign into the park from the apartments. The only thing I could think of when the town is busier in the summer is the noise from all the surrounding bars. I got woken up at 2 am to a loud group leaving the bars. Just a heads up if you have light sleepers. It also shares space with a laundromat....so if you have extra laundry its very convenient for that too. We will definitely re-book here.
