"Great location and view of the sea. Room was spotless. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the air-con seems to switch off every hour so impossible to get a decent night’s sleep as i had to keep getting up and switching it back on. A couple of other guests also complained of this - didn’t ever seem to get resolved."

"Hadn't realized that a railway line separated the hotel from the beach and finding a route to Nice proved challenging. The hotel itself I would describe as IBIS quality, it was adequate and clean, the pool is unusual but didn't get chance to use it. The reception wasn't manned when we arrived and it took several minutes before we were attended to. The bedrooms were in a different building from the reception but the rooms were comfortable and clean."

"Nice was our home base for 5 nights to enjoy Eze, Monaco, Monte Carlo, Antibes & Cannes. Victor Hugo was a beautiful European vibe hotel, great location just blocks to beach, to train station, and so many restaurants all around - pretty church right across the street. The main street it is on is lined with beautiful trees. Rooms are simple but very good size as well as good sized bathroom & shower, mini fridge, cute little balconies, good a/c. Great full breakfast each morning is included, lovely outside patio to enjoy it on...they had a Happy Hour at night (we never made it to). They offer beach towels you can use, ask front desk. Front desk staff helpful and friendly. I would definitely return."
