2/10 Terrible

"At check-in we went to the room and it was clearly not the room that was shown in the disciption or photos when I made the reservation. I then went back down to the clerk at the desk and said I was not happy with this room it was not the one that we had reserved. She then told me that that type of room did not exist at that hotel. Still is so far I went into reservations again and put in that type of room it clearly shows that that room did exist and was sold out for the night. Due to the fact that the hotels in LaGrange were all booked we had to stay at that hotel in that room again I'm very unhappy."

"Location was great and staff was great. Everything was newly painted. However rooms need new beds and pillows. The first room we went to was very musty and damp #114. I could not have slept there. The rooms are very small. Fridge did not work either. Would not stay here again due to the bed. We got no sleep. There was a whole in mattress and I rolled into him all night."

"We had a great stay here because of the beautifully restored building, our spacious and comfortable room, and the perfect location - not directly on Main Street but just a block away, making it both quiet and convenient. Be aware that there are no staff on site - access to the building and your room are via numeric code sent to you ahead of your stay. This was a new experience for us but it worked just fine. There's also no restaurant or bar on the premises, but step outside and you'll have many choices just steps away. We would definitely stay here again on a return visit to Madison."
