"We had a confirmed reservation made through Expedia for 1 night (arrival on Jan 18, 2024). When we arrived at the property at around 6:00pm (local time) to check-in, we were denied access to the hotel. Instead, we were asked to leave the premises, because we questioned the 19 percent VAT surcharge the owner added to our bill from an earlier stay made a few days prior.
