"This was a last minute one night day, so I was grateful that the hotel had availability. However, our non-smoking room smelled of thick smoke, the linens did not smell fresh and actually the towel looked so soiled the tank of the toilet was sitting a skew. Our smoke detector was on attached.I did not feel comfortable sleeping in the room. The hotel they give us fresh towels and linens to change our bedding. "

"The place is nice but received an additional charge which the Hawthorn hotel could not explain…told me to reject the charge ..extra hassle I don’t need. "

"The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable, but no blankets. The towels were clean. Soap and toilet paper were provided--nothing else. There was no shower curtain. No drain in the middle of the bathroom floor . Toilet poorly caulked and wiggly. The shower drain was filthy and the screen over it not attached. No bathtub. Visible mold on shower walls. Big refrigerator--meticulously cleaned on inside scuffed on outside. Area around sink poorly caulked, cupboard badly chipped. Touch up paint...

"Price of room should reflect property. At least you know what you get with cheap prices..I was afraid to sleep in bed in fear of getting lice,bed bugs, or scabes from unclean sheets, blankets, and pillows. "

"Looks like remodeling, going on. no alarm clocks n room WOODEN HOLLOW inexpensive doors on rooms, and bathroom . The beds were ok, curtains ok, floors n room ok. But the bathroom shower needs more updateD work done. No sink stopper SO RATED the room a 8 0ut of 10 ."

"Great location for Lawrence Joel Veterans coliseum. Older property. Breakfast was pretty good."

"We ended up not staying because after i booked they listed all the fees. You have to check in by 8 pm but is listed as 2:30am and there is a $20 per person per day fee to use the pool. And you have to give a 48 hr notice to even use the pool and i booked last minute so that would have been a waste too. To use the hot tub its $100 extra but that is the only thing listed before you book. It would not have been worth the 3.5 hr drive we were going to make. "

"The breakfast was amazing!! The only complaint was that the pool was green and gross. But the hotel staff was great and everything in the gym was brand new!!!"

"The room was clean and fine/very minimal amenities, but the rest of the hotel is in need of a renovation and cleaning. The hallway carpets need to be cleaned/changed out completely and there is an odor in the hallways that is not pleasant. The rooms are fine, owner and odor-free. "
