I arrived to hotel and there was nobody at reception. I waited 2 hours outside and I missed a group activity I had paid for. A person came to help after 2 hours.

Lovely staff who was friendly and very welcoming. The room was very nice. There is a lot of noise from the road and the tramway, but aside from that everything was good!

Hotel The Lord was a solid stay. It’s just a short walk from Gent‑Sint‑Pieters, which makes arriving with luggage incredibly easy. The private room was good value and had that “local apartment” vibe rather than a generic hotel feel. Simple, comfortable, and exactly what I needed for a night in Ghent.

Très déçu par cet hébergement, Lit non fait à notre arrivée, lors de la prise de chambre à 17h, linges de chambre salles en vrac à terre dans le couloir ! Cheveux dans la douche et le lavabo ! Beaucoup de bruits (portes qui claquent et conversations à voix élevées) L’une des pires expériences en hébergement et pourtant loin d’être la première.

The staff was so nice they waited for me to arrive at 11pm helped with my bags so accommodating the lady in the morning was nice as well great hotel near bus and train station tram stop is close by too

Rooms, lobby, stairways, and hallways were all clean and safe. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Great location right near train station. There is no elevator if that is important.

We chose the hotel for proximity to the train station because we were just staying 1 night before going on the train. Wasn't expecting much for the price, but we were pleasantly surprised that the room was clean and quiet and ready for us to check in early when we arrived. A little far to walk to the centre, but the tram stop is just out front. Overall would rate it 7/10.

The hotel is lovely, we stayed in the first floor, everything was clean, near the station and it’s very easy to get to the town center. We had a great time here

Do not book this dumpster- it was really horrible. I booked a superior room with two twin beds for my son and I. A young guy took us upstairs to a 3rd floor - steep steps no elevator my son had to carry both suitcases. The room only had one bed. I politely explained that we need two beds and I specifically booked two beds and paid for superior room. The guy was very rude and obnoxious he said he didn’t have any rooms with two beds. I said we want a refund after a little while he magically found a room. It was unfortunately in the basement behind a kitchen under the stairs- it was the only room with two beds apparently. The shower was tiny and Lukewarm water so I couldn’t take a shower for 3 nights. There is no restaurant - no breakfast, no water, no bar and no tea or coffee. No sauna either not sure why there are photos all of these so called amenities or why it’s listed in the hotels description. The bed and the pillow was very hard and I heard people going up and down the stairs. The light in the room was dim only coming from two night lamps and the washroom with a very noisy fan. Outside was very noisy street right in front of a bus stop with a lot of garbage. The only redeemable feature was its proximity to the train station however it is a 30 minutes walking distance to the old town. Overall it was a terrible the experience, especially the person who manned the front desk it seemed that he didn’t care at all- rude customer service.

When I arrived the hotel was locked and unstaffed. There was a number to call posted on the door which was unobtainable. There phone number on the hotel website was not answered. I sat in a nearby park for an hour and when I returned the door was opened and a man was there to check me in. I pointed out that the mobile number posted on the door was unobtainable, but he didn’t seem concerned. When I left the same number was posted on the door.
