De locatie, middenop een industrieterrein, geen openbaar vervoer vandaar. Misschien een pendelbus aanschaffen en laten rijden?? Het uitzicht uit je kamer is een waterzuivering, ook niet echt super. Prachtig hotel, verkeerde locatie.

Beste JanHartelijk bedankt om even de tijd te nemen voor het delen van uw ervaring na uw bezoek bij Van der Valk Gent. Wat fijn dat u ons zo een prachtige score heeft. Wij liggen inderdaad op een 5 km gelegen van het centrum. Wij verhuren ook elektrische fietsen waarmee u naar het centrum geraakt en tijdens de week hebben wij een bus die u naar het centrum brengt. Helaas is er in het weekend inderdaad geen buslijn van bij ons. U kan wel de bus nemen aan het UZ Gent. Alsook mag u steeds vragen aan de receptie om een taxi te reserveren voor u.Hopelijk mogen wij u in de toekomst opnieuw verwekomen.Met vriendelijke groetenBo

The reception staff were extemely friendly and knowledgable, cycle parking/storage was easy and safe. The only downside was having to get a taxi into the city but still, it wasnt too much of an issue.

Great hotel with really nice rooms and breakfast, in a quiet location. The only thing I didn’t like was that you had to pay extra for parking, when they have lots of space, and that they took £250 refundable deposit for my room when I already paid £180 for it. The minibar was also empty.

Modern hotel located next to a large stadium and an industrial zone, in the outskirts of Gent. Although it was a bit difficult to navigate the narrow alleys leading to the hotel entrance, it is conveniently located next to major motorways and about 10 minutes driving to the city center. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. Parking is convenient and plentiful, it costs 10 euro per night. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The nice restaurant located on the ground-floor was quite busy on a Saturday night and on a holiday night but easily available on weekdays. The menu was impressive and quite pricy. You can have drinks and snacks in the lobby and they make ordering very easy on line. Service was prompt, actually faster than in the restaurant on a busy night. They provided an amazing breakfast with endless choices that should meet anyone's expectations. Breakfast was included in the price of the room for the duration of out stay. Public transportation is available to the train station where you have to change to the citycenter, but only runs on weekends up to 8pm. You can conveniently buy tickets on the buss. There is a large supermarket opposite to the hotel and a small refrigerator available in (all?) rooms. The hotel does not have a pool, but only a spa. We did not use it.

Très bel hôtel, chambre super, très grande et très propre. Le restaurant cocotte est top Dommage que l’environnement extérieur ne soit pas super, la vue sur le stade et la voie rapide ne sont pas terrible, ce qui explique le prix par rapport aux prestations haut de gamme Je recommande

Prachtig hotel met mooie kamers (koffievoorziening water), makkelijk bereikbaar, zeer vriendelijk personeel, top ontbijt.. kortom alles wat je van een Van der Valk verwacht (en we zijn al in verschillende geweest). Misschien enig punt van aandacht is de parking, een deel bovengronds deel ondergronds, maar toch nog weinig plaats te vinden en als je in de ondergrondse staat, zijn er toch nog mensen die zich achter je plaatsen, daar waar het niet mag (aan de zijkant van de muur zijn 3 plaatsen, een 4de zet zich er nog achter, zodat je bijna niet meer uit je plekje kan als je er tussenin staat

Erg fijn verblijf gehad. Goede bedden en kussens en fijne badkamer. In het toilet zit een automatische verlichting maar deze is wel erg fel als je in de nacht naar het toilet wil. Pluspunt is ook de parkeergarage onder het hotel.

Super chic experience!
This was one of the nicest and chicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at! I decided to stay in my last night and have wine and cheese in the lobby with my iPad because the hotel was so nice. I’m sad I didn’t have time to book a spot at the Weleda spa. Beds were SO comfy. Super stylish wood rooms. If you are wanting to stay close to Ghent center, (bavo cathedral, all the site seeing, etc.) you will have to take a taxi. It’s about a 15-20 min taxi ride and the hotel works with a really nice taxi driver named Pancho who helped me all weekend.

Wir hatten für zwei Nächte gebucht, um die Stadt Gent zu besichtigen. Das Hotel ist modern, sauber und ansprechend. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn es eine Tür im Badezimmer geben würde, und der Föhn ist auch nicht so gut. Dafür günstige Parkmöglichkeit direkt am Hof. Im Zimmer gibt es Wasser, (nicht so schmackhaften) Kaffee und Tee. Hotel Preis-Leistung ist ok. Alles in allem können wir es guten Gewissens empfehlen. Note 2-

Pleasant stay
Lovely modern revamp of this formerly old school Dutch tourist class hotel brand. Affordable parking, well designed rooms, regular sized toiletries, and a short drive away from the town center. Reception staff at check in was very helpful in providing tips for town center parking. The only down side is that there is a small hourly fee for late check outs. Also, breakfast is disproportionately expensive, but there is a good supermarket across from the hotel entrance where you can pick up excellent breakfast supplies. The underground garage can get full in the evenings, although there is an overflow lot across from the main entrance driveway.

Prima hotel vlakbij bushalte. Personeel was vriendelijk maar zwaar onder bezet. Service bij het eten duurde heel lang. Daarna drankje gedaan in skybar. Duurde daar letterlijk een uur voordat het drankje uitgeserveerd werd
