"The location was amazing and the room was small but really cute. But We did travel during the heat dome but the ac on the entire floor broke. They didn’t have much to offer for the inconvenience. They offered a fan but it was actually taken by someone else. They had no other rooms and didn’t even offer a discount. I was disappointed by the customer service. It was very hot!!"

"Wonderful stay at Hotel Balestri in Florence. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was incredible every morning—fresh juices, perfectly scrambled eggs, spectacular bacon, and great yogurts. The bar was fantastic too; the bartender mixed excellent cocktails. Rooms are on the smaller side, which is expected in a building from the 1860s, but that’s a minor note. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of everything. Highly recommended!"

"Pros: The hotel is in a great location. It is very beautiful and quaint. The breakfast each morning was wonderful. Very small selection, but everything was tasty. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom is small, no counter space and the lighting is terrible. Cons: the staff is only in the hotel until 8:30 PM. "This location is perfect if you want to be "just" out of the way of the Florence crowd, but close enough to join in whenever you want. The walk to the bridge to get into the central area is like 7min. You're also within walking distance to the Offizi Gallery. There are good restaurants on the street directly behind this hotel, too, and the Piazzale Michelangelo is very close. My stay was exceptional."

"This was a lovely resort in a very walkable area of Florence. As soon as we got to the facility, a staff member sat down with us and reviewed the map with us and how to get to important places that we wanted to get to. They were very eager to make dinner reservations for us, which we found very helpful. It was a great location for walking pretty much anywhere we wanted to in town. The facilities is extremely clean and the breakfast was very delicious. We would definitely stay there again."

"Magical stay in the Imperial Suite. Spacious rooms with beautiful, whimsical decor. I lived for relaxing on the little balcony overlooking Pitti Palace in the long light of the sun with my morning coffee or pre-dinner wine.
