"Clean, comfortable and central motel. We were attending a Wedding close by and needed a place to stay for 1 night. It was clean, the bathroom was spacious enough and the beds are comfortable. A added bonus was it was quiet and close by to the main strip of shops."

"Advertised as having a bar & restaurant... in truth there is a little corner with wine & beer for sale, but no staff to serve you. Restaurant is actually a dining room where the have the minimalist breakfast that have ever seen for an expensive hotel. You can't drink byo drinks out in the common areas near the fireplaces, so forced to sit on the bed in a cramped, so called " deluxe king " room. Couldn't even put my suitcase anywhere and was tripping over our items. Window isn't made air...

"Great location in the middle of Katoomba. The shops on one side and the three sisters a short walk. Breakfast was basic, toast and cereal but for the price this was a bonus. Some reviews mentioned muffins and yoghurt but this was not present on our 3 day stay. The property keeps its original character throughout which is what I loved about it. "The room was as expected but the property was under renovation and was a bit massy with one mattress and furniture dumped behind the motel. And sections boarded off."

"Historic hotel is well located between Katoomba and Blackheath so very easy drive to many sites. Due to age of hotel rooms a little small but functional, the decor even older was well maintained and cosy. Only cons room had to be cleaned again before we accepted it, however the management reacted well and solved the problem. Staff friendly however suggest a bit of training in customer service will work to help make this hotel even better. Overall would recommend this hotel."

"The accommodation here is very cheap, and the property condition, staff presence, etc, is in line with that. Not an insult - just realistic. Aging and very dark inside, but clean. Guests should bring their own blankets in cold weather, as it gets VERY chilly. The only issue we had was the lack of guest parking. Otherise, it fulfilled all our requirements."
