"We recently stayed at this hotel after breaking down on our journey. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make our first night and phoned the hotel to explain the situation. The woman we spoke to didn’t seem very interested or concerned, and we were disappointed that nobody even asked if we were okay given the circumstances. "Very traditional building. Old but well maintained and presented. The location is very secluded and peaceful. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food quality is outstanding and reasonably priced for a city spa hotel. Compared to the Holiday Inn nearby this place is definitely a step up and we would opt to stay here again."

"The room wasn't as clean as expected. The electric outlets didn't work. Someone came rapidly to fix it. At the restaurant, the server didn't bring us water like the others neither come back to see how we were doing. It is a good quality price. Even with those inconvénients, we would go back for a short journey. One or two days."

"The front desk was exceptionally helpful with check in, recommendations for activities, and arranging transportation. The views of the harbor from our room was phenomenal! The restaurants were quite nice, but reservations are a must."

"Classic English accommodations. An updated old Inn, I'll guess 1700s, complete with neighborhood pub on ground floor. Ceilings are still low, hit my head, but learned quickly. I got room 3, a little noisy from staff congregation outside, get a diff one yourself. Old timey pull chain on toilet , hilarious. Cool little village too, with fish n chips shop, but the fish n chips in The Crown Inn restaurant were great. We stayed here purposely for the UK experience vs boring corporate hotel marble...

"Had received all the information about checking in along with the room number we were due to be in the morning of checking in i received a call to say there was a issues with the room and that we had been changed to a different one if you are given room 15 its not suitable for a couple. Only saw the proprietor once. Yes it's clean and it's ok for a overnight stay "

"We didn’t have Breakfast as meeting up with relatives at Restaurants in Bishops Waltham and Winchester. However, it was a quiet and peaceful Hotel in lovely Grounds with friendly staff and accommodation suitable for most stays at reasonable prices. Cruise packages would be an excellent reason to book this Hotel."
