The pools are amazing and insta worthy posts if you are into that. The in house entertainment at night is wonderful every night is different. It’s very secluded and peaceful. "Kappa Senses is an excellent property. I loved my stay with them. The rooms are stunning - I was in a private villa. The food was delicious and I appreciated that there were gluten free options available. The staff and the service were fantastic and they went above and beyond everyday - even running after me to return my Louis Vuitton wallet filled with cash and cards that I somehow left as I was checking out. I’d definitely stay here again if I were to ever return to ubud. The only things I’d note for other travelers to consider would be that if you are looking for zen, there were children around so a private villa would be the way to go. I also wasn’t expecting so many people to be smoking and would’ve loved a smoke-free area at dinner and by the pools. The resort is also just off the main road in Bali which is quite busy and dangerous to walk along so you will need transportation into/around ubud (the hotel provides a shuttle). "

"Paradise retreat after busier areas of Bali. It feels like a grand hotel of old with Incredible views, amazing staff - in particular ‘Goose’ provided our table with an absolutely 5 star dinner service. Good selection of food and wine. Spa service was terrific. A real highlight for us was doing the bicycle tour organized by the hotel with the wonderful Resa through the historical town and nearby rice fields. Such an authentic adventure. A very special place! Amazing value."

"Overall, our favourite hotel in Bali despite the weather (unfortunately it was rainy season). The resort is amazing. The staff are very helpful. We stayed quite far from the front so the golf carts were available to help take us around. When you first walk into the room you're greeted by an amazing bathroom and coffee bar. I am just disappointed I was not able to try more of the coffee. Great coffee drinks provided at breakfast and afternoon tea. The onsite food was also good. We did not run out of things to do. The free plantation tour was nice along with our paid mountain bike tour to the waterfall. The activities program is extensive. We only stayed 2 nights this time but in the future we will try to stay for 3!"

"We had a private pool with the river view villa, and it was beautiful. The villa was cleaned, great view, and amazing customer service. The staff are always friendly and will do whatever they can to accommodate your needs. Our water is always stocked, and when we need extra, they bring you extras. On top of that, you have your own dedicated butler that you can easily call by dialing #3 on your villa's phone. The free breakfast buffet was amazing, especially compared to the free breakfast that these American hotels offer. Personally, Kupu Kupu Barong set the standard for free breakfast at a very high level for me now. If we go back to Bali, we will definitely stay here again. "
