A nice stay

Overall it was nice, the hotel is situated amoung great trees pretty far from the sea but there is a shuttle bus provided.

The hotel was very far away from everything. The breakfast was okay, but the dinner was nothing special and not worth the extra money. The free spa facilities were out of order and the other procedures were way too expensive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool table didnt work also. The sky bar and the lobby bar offered the same things, but the sky bar just had double the prices. The outside pool water didnt look very clean. The best thing about the hotel was the big and spacious room with bath tub.

Hotel is a bit out of Golden Sands (which I didn't mind). Room was massive (611A) with a sea view and kept very clean, with a massive comfy bed. The breakfast was the worst I've ever had at a hotel and skipped it most days. Some staff were great (on check in and at the lobby bar), but others came across rude. Pool area was never too crowded. Excellent free wifi. Overall good value for money.

The Orchidea is very good hotel and this is our second visit. It is just on the edge of Golden Sands and is up a steep narrow road. A really good feel to the hotel, drinks a bit overpriced by Bulgarian standards and food could be better. Friendly staff.

Ok frokost og spa. Spesielt vennlig og serviceinnstilt personalet! Rolig området, 7 min ca å gå til stranden, og ca 20 min til sentrum. Hyggelig takbar oppe om kvelden.

Good Service

Enjoyed our stay only a couple of minus points. Third floor view of trees only and then our private transfer which we paid for had the hotel force our driver to take another hotel guest to the airport. This guy was awful he did not offer to pay towards the cost or tip the driver. The hotel had NO rights to do this!!!

Lovely hotel, great spa

Really enjoyed our stay, but I would make a couple of recommendations. Would be great to have some hot drinking facilities before 8am and after 10pm. The reception staff to say when you are leaving 'we hope you enjoyed your stay' as opposed to nothing. More information provided in the rooms, e.g. when the restaurant is open, what time to check out. Apart from that it was excellent.

Short walk to the beach

Great value, but high altitude

The hotel is located at: 43°16'17.59"N, 28°02'8.04"E. It shows up in Google Earth but not Google Maps. It's a good 10min walk to the nearest public beach, and about 15min walk to Golden Sands proper. The internet is fast for hotel standards and while they have wifi in the lobby, the rooms only offer a 10ft ethernet cable which is definitely annoying. Otherwise I really enjoyed the stay - the hotel is in a very quiet area, rooms are huge (think Las Vegas) and all have balconies, restaurant had good prices and great food, breakfast was Balkan but varied and filling, and the staff I met were hardworking and professional. Half the days I just hung out at the pool. I was there mid-June, so occupancy was maybe 40%. Value was very good.
