The Leta Santa Barbara Goleta, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
8/10 Good
"This is a renovated Holiday Inn, and while the courtyard and pool are wonderful, given the room rates, I expect more luxury in my room from a Hilton property. The bathroom has the original tub and a tile surround with rather dingy grout, in some spots it was quite black. Also, the safety grab bar is at the wrong end of the step in tub so you're stepping in right under the shower head. The bed was very comfortable and the linens and pillows were very nice. The AC unit was very noisy and clearly old. There is no elevator to the second floor, which I was told before they gave me a room. On Saturday the brunch buffet was relocated to a small, unpleasant bar area with no windows because there was a seminar event taking place that took up the entire lobby and closed the bar and restaurant to guests. Trying to get a cup of coffee at the lobby coffee station took a half hour because the seminar people had drained the pot and there seemed to be some issue with getting a fresh pot. Guests were definitely not put first. This event seemed to still be going on that evening and it was rather annoying to not have access to the restaurant or bar. The staff was friendly and did their best to be accommodating under circumstances where their guests were being inconvenience. The location is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Overall it is ok but definitely a bit of a disappointment."

"Good time all went well. Will stay again"
King Frederik Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The location is amazing as it is centered in Solvang. Our room had upper windows on opposite sides of the room that created a cross breeze; we loved the fresh cool air and only used the air conditioning once. Breakfast is not extensive but our trip included 5 hotels and this one had the very best lobby coffee and a delicious blueberry danish. 😋 Cynthia at the front desk also helped us find all the wine tasting establishments in town and BOGOs."

Motel 6 Goleta, CA - Santa Barbara
8/10 Good
"Parking is highly constrained; when I came in very late only to find no available parking spaces, I had to go to the office for assistance (the attendant was behind the desk very quickly after I entered the office) in order to be directed to spaces available at the bowling alley next door. The motel is very conveniently located near grocery stores, drug stores, various restaurants, and other retail establishments. The TV channel selections was modest and the channel selection process was awkward. A single channel guide with scrolling through 48 channels or so, no premium channel availability."
