"It was continental breakfast but good selction"

"Lovely small hotel with a few areas to improve - room 10 the radiator didn’t work but they had left a small plug in , it didn’t heat the room so room was very cold . The bathroom had no extractor working so got very steamy and couldn’t use mirror . Fridge wasn’t secure in unit so fridge fell forward , TV had limited channels and could not get a response on how to access through pin . The hotel was beautifully restored and exceptionally clean. Would stay again if the room was heated "

"It was a very nice room in a seperate building at the back of the pub by the car park. It even had a small fridge as well as Kettle and coffee etc. Very quiet, nice location. Looks like a nice pub too but I didn't try it."

"Great atmosphere, food incredible, lovely staff, bedrooms are quiet and comfortable. Hotel was warm and stylish. Would definitely return here. Long may family run hotels continue!"

"On entry of the Hex Hotel the car park is a short distance from the hotel entrance, there is no drop off point immediately outside the reception area, eg - if it was raining your items would be quite if not not entirely soaked. My advice is to park up first, sign in at the Hotel Reception and then collect a porters trolley for your luggage from the reception area. "The room was clean, though there were some long hairs on the folded clean towels. Staff were very friendly, very helpful. Breakfast was nice and had a reasonable selection for being included in the price of the room. My only big complaint was you can’t open a window and the aircon didn’t really cool the room at all (setting were correct for cooling the room) but it was still very warm after a couple of hours. Still managed to get a bit of sleep, but the roon was very warm. "

"The staff are very attentive and helpful. We stayed in a standard room which was a good size and the bed was the same. It wasn't spotless but clean enough. The breakfast had a good choice of cereal and a hot buffet. We had dinner also, the food was very filling and tasty."
