"Our room was given to someone else upon arrival. The staff stated our card had declined when in fact, it was a security check from our bank that we did clear, and should have been charged following clearance. We basically arrived and didn’t have a room anymore. I would assume this is fairly common that banks would require customers to verify a transaction in a different city, but instead of reaching out to us, the hotel gave our room to someone else and we were left having to book a different...

"We had a wonderful stay at Blackstone. The hotel is excellent, with outstanding service. We especially appreciated their help with arranging an early check-in, which made our trip much more comfortable. The location is very central, making it easy and safe to get around and explore the area."

"We stayed 4 nights in 2 rooms (a couple and a solo traveler) and while the location is the hotel's strongest point. It is a historic building in the Loop, walkable to Millennium Park and easy transit access.
A few things could be improved. Our check-in experience was a bit awkward as the host assigned the smallest room to the couple rather than the solo traveler, which felt like an oversight. The lobby seating is showing wear, and the in-room bedding instructions were more confusing than they...
