"Avoid this one place. I never leave reviews, but if this helps one person it’s worth it. Our first room smelled like someone had a bunch of wet dogs in it, the clock didn’t work, and the tv speakers were blown. I thought it was a fluke and spoke with the gentleman at the front desk and asked for a new room; he moved us with no issue. Are all the updates done perfectly….no….but the property IS updated very nicely, especially given the price you pay for a room. Staff at the front desk were wonderful at both check in and check out. "The young lady that checked us in was not friendly at all. The room was just as described. My only complaint is that there was hair from someone else in the shower and on the towels. We booked for 4 people and only had two towels in the room."

"The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. "I love the staff here. They are quiet, not mouthy or rude. Quite the opposite. The housekeepers are awesome. I would put them up against the Hilton Downtown any day.
