"The Leonardo hotel in Southampton is decent value for money. The room is spacious, and the staff simply amazing. Little if any noise gets in from outside so you’ll have a great night sleep, and the breakfast is very good for this price bracket. However the location is a bit… weird. If you’ve stepped off the airport bus (itself great value) at Giddy Bridge and approach the hotel it’s just… awkward to get into. "The hotel is generally okay with a nice pool and gym area. The rooms really need some love and care. We had to move to another room as the radiator thermostate (tap) was broken off at full on so we were far too hot. The new room was a much better temperature, but the loo roll holder had gone so you end up holding the toilet paper like being on a camping trip. We had a nice meal and drink in the bar area and a reasonable breakfast in the morning. The staff are all pleasant. The room swap was...

"The hotel is beautiful and modern which we liked. It did lack in some big areas and I frankly expected better. The toilet was dirty on arrival and I don’t mean just a little. There were dried urine stains over the seat, the toilet, the base and the floor. Not sure how this could even be missed (which I can only assume means they don’t clean properly). It was resolved straight away but we shouldn’t have had to ask. The staff in the hotel were good. However, not so much at the onsite restaurant...
