Amazing historic building in fabulous location

The hotel is in an amazing historic building in the traditional style of the region. It is right on the river (Seerhein) by the Gottlieben stop of the Konstanz - Schaffhausen boat Service. The restaurant is on a terrace right above the water with a nature reserve opposite. Good at the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was served on the terrace below and included local specialities. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place is quiet at night. There is a small lido nearby where we went swimming in the Rhine. There are several cafes and other excellent restaurants in Gottlieben apart from this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back after the extensive renovation planned for October 2021 to about 2023

Wunderschöner Ort am Wasser! wir hatten leider Regenwetter. Frühstück war um 8 Uhr noch niemand da. Essen war sehr einfach (keine Auswahl, es gibt was es hat) aber sehr lecker.

Sehr nettes Personal. Das Hotel braucht dringend eine Renovation. z.B. der Einstieg in die Badewanne/Dusche ist für ältere Leute schon fast gefährlich.

Tolles historisches Hotel an bester Lage

Ein toller Aufenthalt trotz Corona-Einschränkungen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Essen in wunderschönen historischen Räumlichkeiten. Sehr schönes Zimmer nd guten Betten zum Wohlfühlen. Lage des Hotels sehr ruhig und idyllisch am Seerhein von Gottlieben.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am See. Von der Terrasse aus eine tolle Aussicht. Unser Zimmer lag im 3. Stock, es war ruhig und das Zimmer sehr geräumig. Was uns nicht so gut gefallen hat, waren die Betten. Diese hatten Rollen und man konnte sie auseinanderschieben. Das Restaurant haben wir nicht getestet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, uns wurde alles erklärt und sowohl Check-in als auch Check-out waren schnell und unkompliziert. Gerne wieder

Nice but expensive food

Very nice hotel and restaurant has a gorgeous view... what we didnt enjoy was that our meal wound up being 298 francs. We expected an expensive meal, but the wine menu is deceptively labelled. The price for a glass is (in this case 6.50) listed, and next to that iwas another number we assumed to be the bottle (19). Upon our bill, both bottles of wine came up over 40 francs. Apparently the 19 was the year according to our waiter. And those were cheaper bottles on the menu.

Die Lage des Hotels war super und das Personal sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Einziges Manko war, dass das Hotel Drachenburg noch renoviert wird. Die Renovation der Zimmer war zwar nach 6 Monaten abgeschlossen, aber noch nicht alles gründlich überprüft. Ich würde das Hotel trotzdem weiterempfehlen.

We stayed in the hotel which is located in a small cozy and authentic town 5 minutes drive from Konstanz. The hotel is very historic and the rooms are in a completed style. We'll be back

Freundiches und zuvorkommendes Personal, essen ist erstklassig. Lage Hervorragend, ideal für Ausflüge mit dem Velo und dem Schiff. Zimmer werden renoviert, durch Corona leider Verspätung. Freue mich au die neuen Zimmer.

Schon die Vorabinformationen durch die Hoteladministration per eMail waren freundlich und hilfreich. Das Haus ist traditionsbewusst, entsprechend gemütlich ist das Ambiente. Zum Hotel gehört ein gepflegtes Restaurant. Die Lage am Wasser ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Und zum Abschied gab es noch eine kleine Erinnerung an das Hotel. Übrigens auch die Nähe zur Insel Reichenau und zu Konstanz sind zu erwähnen.

Braucht dringend neue Teppiche!

Das Hotel besticht durch seine einmalige Lage am Wasser. Das Zimmer war jedoch nicht sehr sauber. Es gab fleckige Teppiche und die Verdunkelungsvorhänge waren sehr alt, fleckig und teils mit Löchern, aber kaschiert hinter den Tagesvorhängen. Es gab viele Spinnen in den Zimmerecken (Wohl geschuldet durch das alte Gebäude aus den 17.Jh) und das Bett ist durchgehangen.

sehr altes Gebäude mit alter Einrichtung. Betten für grosse Personen mit Kopf- und Fussteil. Zudem war die Nacht wegen laufendem Wasser und abschaltendem Ventil im WC sehr laut. Das dazugehörige Restaurant ist allerdings jederzeit zu empfehlen. Sehr freundliches Personal und super Essen.
