"Waited 15 minutes at the Reception disc until someone showed up to check me in. Staff are not so friendly. Rooms are not clean. There are insects and roaches on the floor and on the sink counter. This is not the first time I have bad experiences with this Hotel unfortunately it’s the only hotel in town so I had to stay in it again otherwise I wouldn’t approach it"

The location of the hotel between the river and the historic downtown area is awesome. For an easy getaway destination, Red Wing, MN and the St James Hotel are a perfect combination."

"The clerk barely spoke English but I had a confirmation so all he had to do was point. The room seemed clean but walls were very stained and tired. The kitchenette was completely devoid of anything to use for dining. Not even plastic soons or anything. So if you don't bring absolutely everything you need to eat a meal, you're just out of luck.
