"As travelers from the US, where the number of advertised beds in a hotel room are available regardless of how many travelers are listed when booking, we had several incidences on our 3 week trip where we faced higher fees and even outright lack of beds when we showed up with more than the booked for number of travelers. This was the case at the Premier hotel at the Glasgow airport. After spending almost 6 hours on a train, arriving after 11pm and having a 7am flight the next morning, all we wanted to do was sleep! But the "family" room that had advertised 4 beds only had two because I'd neglected to change the number of travelers when I booked! I wanted to cry! But the gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to go rework the room, adding the correct number of beds, and for that he will have my eternal gratitude! If you're booking from America, be aware that if you list a different number of guests than what you'll arrive with you may find yourself in a pickle! Thankfully for us, crisis was averted!"
