"We loved the property, afternoon tea, dinner, and staff. Exploring the neighborhood and Pollock Park were highlights. The only downside was that this was a splurge for us to say we had stayed in a “castle” in Scotland. To our surprise, our room was around back, not in the actual castle. "Advertised as a hotel, but it is most definitely a hostel. I booked a double bedroom and in the room theres no lamps, only two wall sockets, and no bathroom in the room. I feel as though the photos are misleading in this sense as you share all bathrooms and toilets with the rest of the hostel. Mind you the entire floor (out of 3 floors) will share one toilet, or at least this was the case of the second floor. "I had no interaction with any staff. I did online check-in. When the room is ready, a code is sent by email gave access to keys, which was about 90mins prior to the official check-in time of 3pm.
