Nice to have an excellent continental breakfast with fruit, cereal, toast and a choice of spreads. I would like to have seen the spreads in a small container with a spoon rather than being offered in a jar.

The customer service was out standing. Helen and Morrie were so welcoming. The continental breakfast was delicious. The Tuscan style of the guesthouse was authentic and restful Short walk to restaurants ant Workers Club.

Boutique accommodation with great home made food. 2ndvisit

Great place to stay. This is our 2nd visit and as good if nit better than the first time. Jo the owner and chef is excellent. Delicious food. BYO so nice to drink a bottle of wine bought earlier from one of the hunter valley wineries by the log fire before and after dinner. We'll be back. Thank you Jo for your hospitality you are a great host.

How can this place have such positive ratings ?

The positive first: A very nice and helpful lady is the keeper of the place. Unfortunately the negative is heavy. Everything is very old, the room is small, the mattress is terrible, the tiny bathroom is smelly and a major noisy road passes 100 meters away. The breakfast is not on site but in a coffee shop on the other side of the busy road. I booked far ahead of our trip to Australia and paid 260 AUD per night, more than I paid in 4 star hotels in downtown Sydney or Melbourne. This is a complete reap off. It definitely would be 1 star if it was not for this nice keeper. I could not recommend this place to a friend

The owner is passionate about giving a fantastic experience during your stay and doesn't disappoint! From the guest houses rustic interior design to her masterful culinary skills, all are satisfying on so many levels. A real gem and one I wouldn't think twice about rebooking.

We had a beautiful stay here! Jo is so lovely and accomodating. She treated us to a delicious dinner upon our late arrival, as well as three course breakfasts both mornings! The entire guesthouse is impeccably styled, from the common areas downstairs to the rooms. This is a perfect option if you’re visiting the Hunter but prefer your own space, away from the hustle and bustle. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you Jo xx

Fantastic stay

It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Table Guesthouse. Jo was a tremendous host and cook, providing a wonderful breakfast and the option for dinner which was sensational. Room was great as was the king size bed which was very comfortable. Great shower with plenty of pressure. Whilst there was an indoor area to wine and dine, the weather encouraged us to enjoy the outdoor Italian setting, just lovely. We also had our small dog join us and Jo was more than accommodating to make us and our dog feel comfortable. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

A Gem in the Hunter

This is one of the most beautiful little country houses in the hunter. Our host was wonderful and the little breakfast was super in the morning! A true little gem!

Excellent small guesthouse

We had an overnight stay on the way back to Sydney. Greta is a small quiet town now bypassed by the main road. An old cottage with modern facilities interesting furniture, very helpful host, good breakfast, excellent value for money. Easy walk to the Working Mens Club for dinner which was enjoyable or a few minutes drive to Branxton for more choice. Definitely worth the stop
