"One advantage of having a petty aristocracy is lots of castles around. This 1800s castle and grounds has been converted into a convention center and hotel. The rooms (in t the servants quarters) were clean and comfortable (with a real double bed!) but somewhat dated, the prize is the breakfast in the main house. "

"We booked this location by mistake, the hotel advised we would have had to forfeit the first night’s payment to switch location and it would have cost at least £200 more for a room at the city hotel. We decided to travel to the one I had accidentally booked in the suburbs. The hotel was excellent - contemporary, clean, great service and importantly for us, catered well for vegans with the inclusive breakfast. I didn’t fall in love with the area but it was a couple of minutes walk to the station and well connected, just a few minutes to the city centre so would actually recommend this hotel. Great value for money. "
