"Let's be honest. It's a nice hotel, but it was not a $500 a night hotel not by a long shot. I've stayed in some beautiful places for less and felt for comfortable. Everything is extremely dated, the beds were painfully hard..and it was so stuffy even with the windows wide open all night. Yes, it's clean and everyone is friendly but I expected more."

"The location was superb as it was literally a minute walk from the Grindewald station, and it's on the quieter side of the town. Staff were excellent, professional, helpful with advice. The breakfast was superb with a great variety and plenty of comfortable seating. The main issue was the hair found on blankets and in bathtub (photos taken, clearly not mine as I found them on arrival), there was also a red stain on one of the face washers/towels. "This is a small, comfortable hotel, with limited amenities but beautiful views. The hotel faces a charming children’s park which is so fun but also, children in the summer play late into the evening and it can be quite loud. The rooms were warm with no AC or fans to support an unusually hot summer. The breakfast was good with some warm options from the kitchen including eggs, an omelet or pancakes plus the typical breakfast spread of breads, yogurt and cheeses. Honestly - and we stayed at some very nice hotels/chalets (including this one), but we were most impressed with him. He provided excellent advice on the mountains to visit, trains/lifts, and times of operation for such services. They even provided a discount card for the lift to Mannlichen. "Family of 5. Loved the Hotel. Conveniently located 1-2 mins walk from train station. Onsite restaurant was excellent, with included breakfast. Restaurant terrace was excellent with amazing views. Staff were attentive. We had two bedroom suite which was plenty spacious for us. Only complaint is that the spa is fairly basic, and large outdoor hot tub not that hot enough."
