The only complaints would be that the showers are very small (mine leaked heavily) and the carpets need a serious steam cleaning. Otherwise all linens and surfaces where clean and very friendly staff. Oh and a very nice breakfest.

The mercure at martini plaza is a great hotel, good staff, very helpfull, good restaurant, quiet rooms, all facilities. On 10 min cycling to centre or by bus. Great high quality hotel.

Hotel mercure near martini plaza groningen is a great place to stay near main office of gasunie en near city, easy to reach from highway. The reception personnel is very kind and helpful. The bar has some good dishes, and good wine service. All in all good for business people and tourists.

Needs updating, far from town center

Staff were professional and polite. Hotel is dated, I'm not sure how it has 4 stars, maybe they were achieved in the '80s, it certainly isn't a 4* hotel now. Hotel is in an area with very few restaurants nearby, or any other facilities other than the MartiniPlaza event space. A walk into town would be 40 mins, so if you are planning on going into Groningen, I'd recommend a Taxi

Comfortable hotel, however2km from Central Station

The hotel was farther from Central Station than indcated(1.1km). It took a little more than 30min. on foot. An electric kettle and coffee-service are equipped.

The location was not great for walkers/pedestrians coming from the train station or airport to the Big Market SQ. or the Fish market sq. (Central Business Dist.) Also, there was alot of messy construction outside the front entrance, by the highway/freeway. Great hotel though, especially if you drive or are in GRN for a conference/event at the Martini Arena.
