Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Property was clean and the staff were pleasant however. The elevators were super slow. I think there was only 1 functioning elevator for the whole property..
Location was perfect. Right on the beach and close to everything in town. Staff was super friendly. The rooms were really clean but kinda outdated compared to other places we stayed on our vacation but I didn’t really mind persay, just wanted to give an honest opinion. To sum up, for the money it was well worth it. I would stay again.
I was beyond impressed with the Best Western Tides! I stayed per a recommendation and wasn't sure what to expect. I will definitely stay again! The location was amazing, the staff went above and beyond. I would definitely say this is a hidden gem.
excellent location, right on the beach, great staff, excellent pizza. The beach was beautiful water was a little rough when we got there but still beautiful
Carpets are torn, sink was cracked, no drinking water was available in the room. The hotel and amenities were tired and terribly old. The AC worked well but the comforter was paper thin with no extras supplied. It is NOT AN AIRPORT HOTEL as there is no shuttle and is located quite far from the airport even with no traffic. The rugs were dirty, tattered and very old. Very expensive to travel there and back from the airport for no real amenities and terrible conditions for a first world hotel.
Clean room, comfortable, lots of storage, beautifully decorated and plenty of towels. Beautiful views of the beach. Breakfast was delicious and self serve. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fitness center was clean and well supplied for workouts. The beach was beautiful, we had excellent weather conditions during our stay.
We loved this property and will come back. We do a lot of traveling each year with friends, family, and sometimes alone. We have stayed at 5 star properties that we had to clean before we could sleep, take a bath or eat. But this property made us smile. It is very clean and refreshing to relax in.
This was our 2nd stay and we will not return. On check-in, who appeared to be the manager, demanded both phone number and email address. I stated phone number should be adequate. He stated no, must have both. Was just there the previous year, and was not asked to provide both. Room was not ready on time and then put us in a room that had not yet been cleaned. The 2nd room we were assigned on the 7th floor had an issue with ants (crawling on one of the beds, in the bed, on the nightstand, and on the dresser and bathtub). Really bad the first day--I should have taken more pictures. Killed several dozen ants. Housekeeping was told to clean the room, but was not informed of the ant issue. The issue was not resolved and we were not offered a different room. To top it off, wanted to enjoy a drink at the bar next to the pool, but there were kids screaming in the pool almost nonstop on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Went upstairs to our room on the 7th floor, could still hear one girl in particular screaming even inside. My parents taught us considerateness and proper manners, but apparently some parents do not teach this anymore. At the very least, the hotel staff should have spoke up to please try to keep the volume down. To top it off, while sitting on the room balcony, there was someone smoking or vaping something that smelled like skunk on the balcony next to us on several occasions. This was easily the worst stay at any hotel. An expensive and regrettable decision.
