Room was clean, only had one bug come into the room and was easy enough to put outside.
Staff were friendly, I forget there names but the people who waited on me and at reception were friendly, polite and helpful.
Nice and peaceful and onsen was great.
Loved the food here, it was the best food I ate in my month long trip to Japan and would 100% come back here

The staff was really nice. We got free milk and it was only ¥100 for extra bottles if milk, which are a MUST when taking an onsen. We had a private onsen in our room, but there were also public onsen in the hotel! Everything was super clean and the hotel is located close to the bus-terminal.

Gorgeous area and hotel. Hotel was quiet and smelled amazing. Great onsen options and spa options. Lush town within easy walking distance. Gorgeous views from the room.

What an amazing place this is. As soon as you check in you're given a welcome matcha tea and sweet treats. The dining area has free flavoured water and hot drinks 247 and the breakfast was so tasty. They even catered for vegetarians.
The room was gorgeous. Tatami mats covered the floor with a beautiful seating area with tea and a kettle for you to use in the room. The beds were extremely comfy and the only negative I have about this place is that the duvets were so thick and fluffy. I'm just...

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sakurai. We booked the top floor suites, which came with several extra benefits.
The room was very large and well laid out, with a kitchen, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and stunning view, two bedrooms, and a living area. We were taken straight to our room by a concierge when we checked in, which was a nice touch. The view was excellent — you could see the town centre from the room.

Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient for Takasaki Station (7 minute walk with heavy suitcase). Gave me a nice map with details of nearby restaurants. Even got a free beer at recommended yakinikku.
