"The staff at the Old Barn were friendly and welcoming . The evening meal and Welsh breakfast were piping hot with generous portions. We really enjoyed our stay and will return."

Every time we turned a tap/ shower on the noise of the pipes was awful, especially in the night. Probably keeping guests awake. Overall great stay, food, hospitality."

"The hotel was very tired and could do with a renovation, mattresses were very old and not the most comfortable. Plenty of parking however people parking in disabled bays without a blue badge. The staff were very helpful and friendly. You get what you pay for and this is a budget hotel, and suited our needs."

" had a good two night stay at Tŷ Newport. The hotel was as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, it had a kettle and the courtesy tray. The bathroom was a spacious with shower only. The noise insulation was very good. The motorway was running very close to the hotel and yet there was no noise. All the people at the reception were very friendly and professional. Also the barman was nice and polite. The only two little suggestions for improvement are: It would be useful to have a mini fridge in the room as well as some hand and body lotion in the bathroom. I liked the green initiative they had: If you did not need to have your towels changed every day, you got a voucher for a free drink at the bar. If I were go back to Newport, I would happily stay at Tŷ Newport again."
