"We loved our stay at Mt Lofty House. Highly recommend the daily history tour at 4.30pm. All staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Our room was divine. "This was a completely random find by us. These villas are part of a cooking school, but we were just there for the room. This was the most beautiful villa we've ever stayed at. It was beautiful, stunning architecture, beautifully furnished, it had an amazing complete designer kitchen which we didn't use, but which would be handy for longer stays, and it was not all that expensive. "Poorly managed property - they'll be in touch like clockwork to get your security deposit payment then don't deliver details of how to pickup keys come check-in time. After a few call attempts they blamed it on the cleaner "forgetting" to put the key in the lock box. We were greeted with dirty dishes from the last guest and our request for a 3rd bed not fulfilled. They told me that I forgot to put that request into them... funny considering I have it clearly noted on their confirmation email...

"Tell people when they book that it's a work site with jackhammers and that basic amenities are out of order the actual apartment was beautiful but getting in and out was a pain and you knew I was in a wheelchair but your workmen blocked the wheelchair access and laughed at my difficulties "

"I'm not one for leaving ratings but the disparity of 5 stars and actual is alarming. It is undergoing lift changes, but the room itself, poorly put together, stains in vanity, paint chips everywhere, aircon was a window rattler that sucked in cooking smells from kitchens below, and I just froze because it kept reverting to 10 degrees. No robe ok, safe was inoperable with a flat battery. Bed was clean, shower was clean. To be quite honest, worst value for money room in my travel life ever....

" Overall, the property was excellent but was let down by the lack of TV reception. Given that our visit was for the Gather Round Football, our plan was to watch many of the games on TV. However, that was not possible because of there being no satellite connection because of the cloud cover. It was a major disappointment and as a result we had very little leisure time at the property. The property is advertised as family accommodation, so the TV coverage issues need to be rectified."

"Off grid cabin / eco tiny home in a scenic area in the hills above Hahndorf. The property had 8 cabins which were really well spaced out giving a feeling of privacy and the area had many birds and kangaroos. Well laid out cabin with thoughtful additions from the host such as kindle/firefighter and matches for the koonara. A lovely stay, highly recommend."
